Songs For A New World
OMAR NAJMI (Man #1) is a senior Vocal Performance major at Ithaca College. He is thrilled to return to MTC after a two year hiatus since playing the Doctor in A New Brain. At Ithaca College, Omar has been actively involved in opera, performing in Mozart's La Finta Giardiniera and Handel's Acis and Galatea. This past summer he performed with the College Light Opera Company, performing nine shows including West Side Story, Show Boat, and A Little Night Music.
DANNY BRISTOLL (Man #2) is an Ithaca College freshman Musical Theatre major originally from Greeley, Colorado. He is ecstatic to have his very first show in New York be with the MTC! Some of his previous credits include Jamie in The Last Five Years, Nicely Nicely Johnson in Guys & Dolls, and Hero in A Funny Thing Happened...Forum. Danny would like to thank both of his parents for all of their love and support through his many theatrical adventures that eventually led him here, his many loving friends back home, and everyone here at the MTC for giving him such an amazing opportunity.
EMILY PUTNAM (Woman #1), originally from Rochester, NY, is currently a freshman Musical Theatre major at Ithaca College. She could not be more excited to be making her MTC debut! She has performed in, and done makeup for, many shows over the years, but The Last Five Years and Songs For A New World mark her fourth season with the MTC. She is president of the Chordials, a co-ed a cappella group at Cornell. Their most recent CD, “Arrival” was recognized as the best co-ed album in the nation in 2007 and the group is currently recording their next album. This semester, she launched Ariel Makeup Artistry, a cosmetic service for students and residents of the Ithaca area. Ariel would like to thank her parents for giving her the freedom to explore her passion and the cast and crew for such a great show!
